Nickel producer Vale Indonesia (INCO) produced 15,048 metric tons of nickel-in-matte in the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, declining 1% from the previous quarter and declined 20% year on year (y/y), mainly due to several planned maintenance executed in the processing plant. Meanwhile, production in the first half (H1) of 2021 was 17% lower than production in H1 of 2020 due to unplanned maintenance activities and lower nickel grade in Q1 of 2021. The Company maintains its production target at 64,000 tons this year.
