Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said on Monday (June 21) that the budget deficit had reached Rp219.3 trillion as of May 2021, equivalent to 1.32% of the gross domestic products (GDP). Said deficit increased 22.24% year on year (y/y). State revenue rose 9.54% to Rp726.4 trillion, of which tax revenue accounted for Rp558.9 trillion, and non-tax revenue amounted to R167.6 trillion.
