The Commander of the Indonesian Military (Panglima TNI) Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto appointed Major General (Maj. Gen.) Dudung Abdurachman as the new commander of the Army’s Strategic Reserve Command (Pangkostrad). Dudung, who is known as a firm and no-nonsense figure who dared to impose discipline on Rizieq Shihab and his hardline group in the capital city, will get his three-star rank following the appointment. Some believe that Dudung is now the frontrunner to become the next Army Chief of Staff (KSAD).
