The quick count of various polling agencies pointed to the nephew of former Vice President (VP) Jusuf Kalla Munafri Arifuddin a.k.a Appi losing to Muhammad Ramdhan Pomanto a.k.a Danny Pomanto in the city election of Makassar, the capital city of South Sulawesi province. Siti Nur Azizah, the daughter of VP Ma’ruf Amin, and Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, the niece of Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, also suffered a defeat in the city election of Tangerang Selatan (Banten).
