Joko Soegiarto Tjandra, colloquially known as Joker, appeared in public after 11 years in hiding and caused mayhem. It’s a slap in the face to three institutions: the National Police (POLRI), the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, particularly its Directorate General of Immigration. POLRI immediately investigated what happened. Three generals were dismissed from their position in a matter of weeks. The AGO is now making its move.
