State electricity provider PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) only booked a net profit of Rp273 billion in the first half (H1) of 2020. It dropped 96% from Rp7.35 trillion in the corresponding period of 2019 due to no compensation income for reimbursement of Electricity Production Cost (BPP) of several categories of customers, whose tariffs for selling electricity are lower than BPP. In H1 last year, PLN recorded a compensation income of Rp13.1 trillion.
