The performance of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir is a welcome sight in President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s second term. The Minister surprised many with his bold move to reform and transform state companies. Some consider him to be a rising star in Indonesian politics. Should he continue to perform well, people may begin to consider Erick’s chance in 2024.
