KPK’s 2018: Increased Productivity

In the previous installment of this series, we briefly noted the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)’s sting operations (OTT) in 2018, i.e., the parties arrested, the suspects, and more. In this article, we compare the performance of the KPK this year with their performance in 2017, especially regarding their ability to complete their investigations.

Priyo Budi Santoso, former Golkar politician, who is now deputy chairman of Tommy Soeharto’s Berkarya Party, claimed that Aksa Mahmud, brother-in-law of VP Jusuf Kalla, is helping Prabowo-Sandiaga campaign for 2019 race. This is not surprising even though Kalla is advisor of national campaign team of Jokowi-Ma’ruf.
