Market Snapshots

Global stocks fell on Tuesday (Dec 4) as a slew of concerns over trade tensions spooked investors. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones slid 3.1%, nearly the lowest levels of the session.  European stock markets also reversed yesterday’s gains and closed in the red on Tuesday amid lingering worries over the U.S.-China trade truce as the Chinese Communist Party’s official newspaper made no mention Monday of a 90-day deadline for a new round of talks or a reduction in tariffs on imported U.S. cars as the White House announced.

Sinarmas-Stanmore vs Adaro-Kestrel

Shares of Stanmore Coal Limited were traded higher at A$1 this morning on Australia Stock Exchange (ASX) to represent market value of A$252.83 million as some investors anticipate a higher offer price from Sinarmas Group’s Golden Energy and Resources Ltd (GEAR). The board of Stanmore has earlier last week recommended shareholders to reject Sinarmas’ A$0.95 takeover offer.

Sandiaga Sells More Saratoga Shares (2)

Vice president candidate Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno divested further 41.8 million shares of Saratoga Investama (SRTG) for Rp157.84 billion. Sandiaga has by far divested 123.3 million SRTG shares since he was named running mate for Prabowo Subianto in next year’s election.
