PKS thought the vacant Jakarta vice governor position would be theirs in exchange for accepting Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno as Prabowo’s running mate in the 2019 race. But that’s not the case. PKS must still fight for the said position since the leaders of Gerindra’s Jakarta chapter also want the vice governorship. This is not the first time Gerindra has shown greed by overtaking positions allocated for PKS. But after all of those betrayals, PKS still remain Gerindra’s most loyal ally.
