The Finance Ministry has discussed the matter of regional tax tariffs with regional governments, association of business players, and Home Affairs Ministry. The Central Government will have the authority to intervene on regional tax tariff with the issuance of a President Regulation (Perpres). The Government needs to intervene to minimalize the cost and administration on regional tax. Fiscal authority intends to minimizes costs by way of reducing regional retribution items.
