The rupiah strengthened to Rp13,173 against the US dollar Wednesday, positively responding to the unchanged Fed rate policy. Crude oil price also increased, touching US$45 per barrel, first time since November 2015. The increase of oil price was also supported by the sentiment on the Rupiah. The emerging stock markets, mainly Asian shares, also gained this morning welcoming the Fed rate decision. MSCI Emerging Markets index rose 0.1%, led by gains in energy sector and consumer goods industry.
