The United Development Party (PPP), like the Golkar Party, is still suffering from internal conflict. The faction loyal to Romahurmuziy and the faction loyal to Djan Faridz are still competing for the leadership of PPP. Romahurmuziy’s faction is a member of the ruling coalition, while Djan Faridz’s faction is a member of the Red-and-White opposition group (KMP). The latter is lobbying for Government recognition, while the former is busy preparing a chairmanship congress (Muktamar) to not just elect a new chairman of PPP, but also to reunite the Party.To subscribe please click here
