Dear Government of Indonesia, What Do You Want?

PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (IDX:TLKM) surprised its customer by blocking the access to the services of the American broadcasting and cable television company, Netflix Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX). The blockade began on Wednesday (Jan. 27). TLKM made the decision to do so because Netflix, so they accused, do not comply with Indonesian regulations. Interestingly enough, the Communications and Informatics Minister Rudiantara said that he appreciated TLKM’s decision, although the Minister previously said the Government would not block Netflix. To subscribe please click here
