The Chief of the Indonesian Financial Transaction Report & Analysis Center (PPATK) Muhammad Yusuf publicly criticized the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) handling of theĀ investigation into nine heads of region with suspicious bank accounts. The PPATK submitted the report on said suspicious bank accounts to the AGO last year, but there’s yet to be any progress on the case. What’s interesting with Yusuf’s criticism is that it come at a moment where the Attorney General HM Prasetyo could very well be replaced in the next round of cabinet reshuffle, and Yusuf has been dubbed as a likely successor of Prasetyo.
