Yesterday (Dec. 14), the Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law & Security affairs Gen. (ret) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan testified at the House of Representatives ethics council (MKD DPR) on the scandal involving Speaker Setya Novanto—who allegedly abused his power by promising a favor to PT Freeport Indonesia and asking for, among others, the company’s shares in exchange. Businessman Mohammad Reza Chalid, meanwhile, did not fulfil the summon. And so the MKD decided that it would release its verdict without Reza’s testimony.To subscribe please click here
