The future of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) remains uncertain. The House of Representatives (DPR) has yet again delayed the process of selecting the new KPK commissioners. The DPR is even considering considered the option of rejecting the shortlist of candidates that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo submitted. Civil society groups have warned the DPR, saying the House could not reject the shortlist for the KPK Law No. 30/2002 requires the DPR to elect the new KPK commissioners based on the shortlist.To subscribe please click here
