On Thursday (Oct. 22), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) declared Dewie Yasin Limpo, a lawmaker from the Hanura Party, as graft suspect. Dewie has been arrested for allegedly receiving a bribe related to the development of power plant in the Deiyai regency, Papua—it is one of the projects slotted for the 2016 state budget that is currently being discussed in the parliament (DPR). Dewie, who is also the younger sister of the Governor of South Sulawesi Syahrul Yasin Limpo, is the third politician from the ruling coalition that’s been nabbed by the KPK, after Adriansyah of PDI-P and Patrice Rio Capella of Nasdem. To subscribe please click here
