Of the 37 bills listed in the 2015 National Legislation Program (Prolegnas), only 2 have been passed into law by the the House of Representatives (DPR). It’s an egregious track record of legislation. The DPR has been heavily criticized for their subpar performance. And now, many are questioning their relevance. Some blame the DPR lawmakers’ frequent absence, but others seem to think that the root cause of the problem lies in the duties and tasks the DPR currently assumes.
