Lawmakers at the House of Representatives (DPR) continues to pressure to state-owned port operator Pelindo II. This time, they’re questioning the extension of Pelindo II’s partnership with Hutchison Port Holdings—entity owned by tycoon Li Ka-Shing—under the management of JICT (Jakarta International Container Terminal). The DPR for a special committee (pansus) to investigate this deal, but this isn’t a surprising news.  We wonder how long would it take for the DPR to keep this act going. Will this pansus investigation end up like the 2010 working committee (panja) on tax manipulation allegedly committed by six palm oil companies, that is, nowhere?To subscribe please click here
