A while back, in a hearing (RDP) with the House of Representatives (DPR), the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) agreed to re-discuss the expansion of new autonomous regions (DOB). The accepted DOB will be promulgated in a law. This deal was made having considered the enormous number of existing proposals of DOB—the 2009-2014 DPR had previously gone over 87 bills for DOB expansion. The 87 bills (each for a new autonomous region) were divided into two packages for discussion: package 65 (October 24, 2013) and package 22 (December 19, 2013).
