The Commander of the Military General Moeldoko told journalists on Wednesday (Jun. 17) that he had submitted a proposal to the President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo for reviving the deputy military commander position. Moeldoko said that he and the Minister of State Secretary had previously met to discuss before taking it to the President for his consideration. Moeldoko seems confident that President Jokowi would accept the proposal. He said, he’s waiting for the President to formalize the revival of the deputy commandership with a Presidential decree (Keppres). When asked who he’d make his deputy commander, Moeldoko said that many generals deserve the position, but he steered clear from mentioning names. To subscribe please click here
