President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo held a meeting with 11 economists at the State Palace Jakarta on Monday (June 29). The timing of the meeting led many to link it with the rumor of an upcoming cabinet reshuffle. Several of the economists who attended the meeting did say that they and the President discussed the performance of the Working Cabinet ministers. The State Palace, however, played down the cabinet reshuffle speculation saying that the President has not given any official directive on the matter.To subscribe please click here
