Indonesia enacted Law No. 7/2014 on Trade (UU Perdagangan) after hanging the fate of national trading activity for far too long on the Bedrijfsreglementerings Ordonnantie 1934, the product of Dutch Colonial law. The new UU Perdagangan contains provisions on e-commerce, promising legal certainty for businesses. So the UU Perdagangan became the second legal basis regulating the business of e-Commerce after the Law No. 11/2008 on Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE).To subscribe please click here
