The feud between the Governor of Jakarta Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama and Representatives of the Jakarta Province Representatives Council (DPRD DKI) over the 2015 Jakarta city budget (2015 APBD DKI) took a turn for the worse late last week. The Ministry of the Home Affairs led a mediation session in an attempt to end the conflict, but nearing the end of the meeting, Ahok raised his voice and provoked the ire of DPRD DKI members, some of whom went into an outburst of profanities.
