Recent dynamics on the search for the next Vice Governor of Jakarta is interesting to watch. When asked by journalists earlier this week on who would become his second-in-command, Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama said that “everyone already knows (who he had chosen)” without specifying what he meant by that statement. Governor Ahok also said that the only thing holding him back from announcing the name of his Vice Governor is a piece of Government Regulation that will give him the power of appointing said Vice Governor.
