The Jakarta Government is now seriously trying to connect its public housing complexes to state-owned natural gas company PT PGN’s pipelines. At least two of its existing public housing complexes are ready to be connected. Vice Governor of Jakarta Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama told his department heads in a meeting earlier this week that all public housing complexes must be equipped with natural gas pipelines by 2015.
