Next month, Emirsyah Satar will end his second term as the CEO of state-run flag carrier Garuda Indonesia (GIAA). Thenafter, we should have Emirsyah’s successor leading the company. The question now is who will that person be? Whoever he/she will be, Garuda has performed rather poorly as the company booked net loss of US$211.7 million in the first half of 2014.
