Golkar Party, led by Aburizal Bakrie, wins legislative election in resource-rich provinces of East Kalimantan and North Sumatra. East Kalimantan is home of Total-operated Mahakam Block, the largest gas-producing block in Indonesia. Hatta Rajasa’s National Mandate Party (PAN), meanwhile, wins Southeast Sulawesi, home of major nickel projects. The General Election Commission (KPU) has validated April 9 legislative election in these provinces.
