“The Governor would like me to pass to you his apology. He can’t be here with you today because has to lead a coordination meeting with the Ministry (of Transportation) downstairs. It’s a different era, ladies and gentlemen, Ministers come to us here (at the City Hall) to have meetings and that’s fine. There’s no protocol. It’s already a different era … this is the new Jakarta era and we hope there will be a new Indonesia,” Vice Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama told a crowd of hundreds yesterday (Mar. 20) morning.
