Nymex crude oil plummeted 4.76% to US$84.5 per barrel Wednesday, while Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) lost 2.36%. Energy stocks were hammered, with Arch Coal and Peabody fell 12.47% and 10% respectively in New York.
