Some were surprised with Bank Indonesia deputy governor Halim Alamsyah’s statements in an analyst briefing last week. Halim was quoted by Reuters saying Bank Indonesia proposes to limit majority ownership between 20% (individuals/families) and 40% (for banks, highly regulated institutions).
