Golden Energy Mines (GEMS), coal producing JV of Sinarmas Group and GMR Infrastructure, reported strong sales revenue growth of 69% to Rp2.09 trillion in the first half of 2012. Unfortunately, margins squeezed substantially to cut its operating profit by 42% to Rp125 billion.
