President Prabowo Subianto also decided to keep Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, a key leader of Golkar Party, as the Minister of Industry. Agus was the one who facilitated Bahlil Lahadalia, the Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources (ESDM), to be elected as the chairman of Golkar replacing Airlangga Hartarto by acclamation in the Golkar’s chairmanship congress held in August 2024.
