US Budget Gap Rises in October

The US budget deficit widened to US$134 billion in October of 2019 from US$100.5 billion a year earlier and compared with market expectations of a US$133 billion gap. Receipts fell 2.8 percent to US$245.52 billion while outlays went up 7.6 percent to US$380 billion.
