The central bank (Bank Indonesia/BI) reported that the banking lending or loan disbursement grew 9.7% year on year (y/y) per July 2019, lower than 9.92% growth per June 2019 and 11.2% growth per July 2018. Lending for corporates segment slowed, mainly for non-financial firms. The lending for this segment grew 11.4%, lower than the previous 12% while lending for individual grew 9.1% y/y, higher than earlier 8%.
