After selling local stocks since Sep. 2, 2019, amid global concern, foreign investors returned to buying local stocks on Wednesday (Sep. 11). It helped lift the composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) by 0.71%, to close at 6,381. Foreign investors booked net buy of Rp237.89 billion, bringing the year-to-date net buy to Rp57.43 trillion. The rupiah, meanwhile, weakened back to Rp14,063 against the United States (U.S.) dollar yesterday.
