On February 2, 2019, a shocking news came from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Two of its investigators who were on duty at Borobudur Hotel were reportedly assaulted by a group of people. The incident took place around the same time the Papua Provincial Government held a meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs. The meeting was also attended by the province’s DPRD. The KPK gave their side of the story moments after filing an official report to the police. The perpetrators of the incident are allegedly the provincial government’s staffs. But the provincial government quickly denied the allegation and filed their own police report on allegation of defamation. There are now two different versions of the story.
