On Thursday, January 7, the Constitutional Court (MK) is expected to hold the first electoral dispute trials as a result of the 2015 simultaneous regional elections. To our surprise, only 144 losing pairs from 134 (out of 264) regions registered their lawsuit to the court. That’s only a half or 50.75% precisely of the number of those who could’ve filed for contest. That being said, the court would still be overwhelmed by the hundreds of lawsuits, for by law the MK only has 45 working days to reach their final decision on the aforementioned lawsuits. To subscribe please click here
