Presiden-elect Joko “Jokowi” Widodo divided his Transition Team into several working groups. One of them is the working group for the State Budget (APBN). It seems that the President-elect gave his budget team the task of making sure that the 2015 APBN will be good enough for the President-elect to work with at the start of his government. Aside from being a logical move—learning the budget structure and trying to influence it when possible—it’s also a move that indicates that Jokowi learned from his experience in Jakarta.
