Shares of plantation company Astra Agro Lestari (AALI), subsidiary of Astra International (ASII), ended slightly higher to Rp5,950 on Thursday (Feb 20) to make a market capitalisation of Rp11.5 trillion, not even half of the company’s equity.

When MoF clarifies Prabowo’s US$44 billion ‘saving’ claims

A slide titled ‘Penghematan Anggaran’ (Budget Saving) presented by President Prabowo in his speech at 17th Anniversary of Gerindra Party forced vice minister of finance Suahasil Nazara to clarify the claimed US$44 billion budget saving. Suahasil said the true budget saving is only Rp306.7 trillion or US$20 billion.
