Samadikun Hartono Arrested: So?
A team consisted of officers from State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Attorney General’s Office (AGO), and National Police has arrested fugitive businessman Samadikun Hartono, founder of Modern Group, in China. Attorney General Muhammad Prasetyo said Samadikun will soon be taken home after 13 years of hiding.

The dispute between PT Bukit Darmo Property Tbk (BKDP) and the Arbiter Assembly of the Indonesian National Arbitration Board (BANI) will soon be over. The court will read the verdict on April 25, 2016. Ahead of the big day, BKDP said that it was confidence that the construction company will win this dispute.

PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), the largest coal group in Indonesia controlled by Bakrie Group, is facing a lawsuit on Suspension of Debts Payment (PKPU) filed by one of its creditors Castleford Investment Holdings Ltd. The first trial was scheduled April 14, 2016 at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court.
The End for Sutan Bathoegana?
After he was declared guilty of accepting bribes by the Corruption Court in Central Jakarta District Court in August 2015, the notorious Democratic Party politician Sutan Bathoegana decided to fight back with an appeal. But his attempt faltered at the stage of cassation. On April 13, 2016 the Supreme Court (MA) decided to decline Sutan’s petition and to accept the cassation filed by the prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The Murder of Tax Officials in North Sumatera
On April 12, 2016, two officials from the tax office in North Sumatera were murdered while on duty. The killer was reportedly a business man to whom the officials went to collect taxes owed.
