Further Pressures on HERO
Retailer Hero Supermarket (HERO) booked net profit of Rp45 billion in Jan-Sep 2016 against loss of Rp31 billion in the corresponding period of 2015. In the third quarter, HERO posted net profit of Rp25 billion against Rp1 billion only in Q3/15. But, the Company’s sales revenues dropped significantly in the quarter.
Stronger Q3 for Japfa
Integrated poultry player Japfa Comfeed (JPFA) booked net profit of Rp761 billion in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2016, skyrocketed 508% from the corresponding period of 2015 on improved margins despite softer sales growth year-on-year. Japfa then reported net profit of Rp1.73 trillion in the first nine months of 2016 against loss of Rp147 billion in the corresponding period of 2015.
KINO’s Weak Q3: What’s Up?
PT Kino Indonesia Tbk (KINO), consumer goods player, reported net profit of Rp185 billion in the first nine months of 2016, inched up 0.7% only from the corresponding period of 2015 due to substantial downfall in the third quarter.
Northstar’s Acquisition of Innovalues: Next?
Shares of SGX-listed Innovalues Ltd opened lower by 0.51% after its trading resumed following confirmation about the proposed acquisition of all shares by Northstar Advisors Pte Ltd for S$1.01 per share. With an outstanding share capital of 328.1 million, the consideration value of Innovalues is approximately S$331.4 million.
Prosperity International & Anhui Conch in Indonesia
Full Right, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Prosperity International Holdings (HK) Limited, a company listed on the stock exchange of Hong Kong, has agreed to acquire 25% shares of Indonesia Conch, a subsidiary of Chinese cement giant Anhui Conch, for HK$450 million.
