Aneka Tambang (ANTM): FY16 Results & Outlook

State miner Aneka Tambang (ANTM) booked net profit of Rp65 billion last year against loss of Rp1.44 trillion in 2015. The Company’s performance improved significantly in the fourth quarter, thanks to higher prices of nickel. Still, with earning per share of Rp3 only, the Company needs to report 10 times of last year’s profit this year to justify the current stock price.

FY16 Results & Outlook: LSIP & SIMP

PT London Sumatra Plantations (LSIP) Tbk, controllled by Salim Group, booked net profit of Rp594 billion last year, down 4.7% from 2015, despite 110% jump in the fourth quarter of 2016 due to rally in crude palm oil (CPO) prices. Shares of LSIP, however, have fallen almost 20% from its recent peak as investors were nervous about possible correction of CPO prices. Turning Indomobil Around?

Indomobil (IMAS), controlled by Salim Group, used to be the second largest automotive player in Indonesia behind Astra International (ASII). In recent years, however, Indomobil lost ground to other groups, including Honda and Mitsubishi-Nissan. Last year, the Company’s sales revenue dropped 16.6%, while net losses expanded 547% to Rp296 billion.

Astra (ASII): FY2016 Results & Outlook

Astra International (ASII) booked net profit of Rp15.16 trillion last year, an increase of 4.8% from 2015, thanks to stronger performance of automotive and heavy equipment & mining segments in the fourth quarter. Astra’s net profit jumped 57.2% in the last quarter of 2016, while sales revenues grew 6%.

Toll Road Projects Update

State-owned toll road developers and operators PT Jasa Marga (JSMR) Tbk and PT Waskita Toll Road (subsidiary of Waskita Karya/WSKT) have been directly assigned by the government to build toll road connecting Sukabumi and Padalarang in West Java province. The toll road will connect the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) turnpike being built by Waskita Toll Road and the Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang (Cipularang), which is operated by Jasa Marga.
