Muliaman Darmansyah Hadad has been sworn in by President Prabowo Subianto as the chief of the new powerful investment company, BP Danantara. It’s worth noting that Nasaruddin was considered by PDIP as the running mate of Ganjar Pranowo back in 2024 presidential election. In the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin is assisted by one Vice Minister, Muhammad Syafi’i, a politician from Prabowo’s Gerindra Party.

Abdul Mu’ti, the secretary general of Muhammadiyah’s Central Board (PP), has been appointed as the Minister of Lower Education. Mu’ti is assisted by two vice ministers: Fajar Riza Ul Haq, who is also a figure from Muhammadiyah, the second largest Islamic organization in Indonesia, and Atip Latipulhayat from the Persatuan Islam (Persis), an Islamic organization with a stronghold in West Java.

Former Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, the closest and trusted aide of Jokowi, Prabowo Subianto’s predecessor, is now the Coordinating Minister for Human Development & Culture. However, unlike in Jokowi’s term, Pratikno is likely having less influence in Prabowo’s cabinet.

Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro has been appointed by President Prabowo Subianto as the new Minister of Higher Education, Science & Technology. Satryo, who is the older brother of former Finance Minister Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro, is assisted by two vice ministers, Fauzan and Stella Christie.

Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), the eldest son of the sixth President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), is the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development. AHY, who is the chairman of Democratic Party, is one of those to watch going forward, especially in light of the next presidential election in 2029.

Nusron Wahid, a Golkar politician, has been appointed by President Prabowo Subianto as the new Minister of Agrarian Reform & Spatial Planning (ATR) as well as the Head of the National Land Agency (BPN). The President also appointed Ossy Dermawan, a Democratic Party politician, as the Vice Minister of ATR/BPN.
