Over a decade ago, PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Persero) (Askrindo) was caught in a cycle of corruption that resulted in the conviction of officials of several companies and two Askrindo executives. The corruption court insisted on finding evidence even though the district court saw the case as a civil law case. Since then, Askrindo had returned to normalcy, until recently. After several months of investigation, the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) announced the discovery of sufficient evidence to declare allegations of corruption related to Askrindo. Two suspects were named.
