Global stock markets mostly fell on Thursday (Aug 20) after the Fed painted a gloomy outlook for the United States (US) economy. On Wednesday (Aug 19), the US Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) agreed to hold the Fed Fund Rate (FFR) at the current level near zero percent.
