The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) uncovered the graft case in the regency of Pakpak Bharat back in November 2018. By July 2019, all suspects in the case, including the disgraced Regent of Pakpak Bharat, had been convicted. But the KPK did not stop there and continue investigating. On September 24, 2019, KPK announced that they had named three new suspects in the case.
