The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) recently named the Regent of East Kotawaringin in Central Kalimantan one Supian Hadi (PDI-P) a graft suspect who had allegedly abused his authority in the granting mining licenses for three companies. National media outlets reported the investigation as it is, but there are more to the case that we need to pay more attention to. First, one of the companies mentioned in the case is PT Billy Indonesia, the same company mentioned in the case that brought down the disgraced Governor of Southeast Sulawesi one Nur Alam (PAN). Second, the owner of the other two companies is reportedly the current Regent of Lingga in the Riau Islands one Alias Wello (NasDem).
