Fast growing electric vehicle (EV) market has triggered competition in the EV battery business. The recently announced partnership between Toyota Motor Corporation and Panasonic Corporation, key battery supplier for Tesla, intensifies competition in the EV battery, and, accordingly, control over metal resources, especially nickel.
